Collin: Hey guys, it's Collin here at etrailer, and today we have a 2019 GMC Yukon XL, and we're going to go and do a test fit of the Titan Chain diagonal cable snow tire chains. Now, keep in mind the tire size on our Yukon today is 265/65R18. Now, these chains are going to be great for if you live in an area where you're getting moderate inclement weather, two, maybe three times a year, that lighter snow and ice that you might get.Any more than that, you're probably going to want to look into a more heavy duty set of chains. Instead of cable style, you probably want to look into a metal chain link style chain. One that comes to mind that is still the same brand as this is the Titan Chain alloy snow tire chains. Those are self-tensioning chains and they're metal D links, so they give you better traction through the thicker, snow and ice.But like I said, if you live in an area that you're not getting it a lot, but you'd like to have that extra traction for those situations, this is a really great and economical choice that's going to give you that extra traction. more

Today on our 2002 GMC Envoy we're going to be test fitting the Pewag Snox Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains part number PWSXV590. Some of the features of these tire chains are, for one, they're very easy to install and they self-tighten while you drive. They have a nice diamond pattern which actually offers more coverage for your tire. Today on this 2014 GMC Terrain, we're going to show you part number PWPLC1142. This is a Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains. Now today for reference we're working with tire sizes 235/60-R17. We have our snow chains installed on our driver's side tire, and we'll go ahead and show you how it fits. First we're going ahead and cover some of the features, you can see how the links right here the construction of the link itself, it's actually a square. Even though the link is round, the construction of the stock is square. It has low height for a chain, so it's good for vehicles with limited clearance between the tires and the components, and the tires and the fronted wheels. more

Glacier Twist-Link Snow Tire Chains Review - 2005 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on our 2005 GMC Sierra, with tire size 305/70/R16, we'll be test fitting the Glacier Twist-Link snow tire chains with cam tighteners for light trucks, part number PWH2226SC. Now to begin our test fit, we'll need to lay the chains out on the ground to make sure that we get any kinks, twists, or knots that are in the chains, out. This will make it easier to install our chains. Now before installing the chains, we'll make sure that we're putting them on correctly. To do this, we'll make sure that the cams are facing out on the tire, as well as make sure that the hook for the cross chain where it attaches to the side chain, faces out. We'll now go ahead and drape our chains over the tire, where you'll see that the cam is facing out, and that the connection here at the cross chain is also facing out. more

Now this vehicle is rear wheel drive so we will be installing the tire chains on the back set of tires. Now to begin our test fit well simply lay the chains flat out on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. This will ensure that the tire chain will fit correctly around the tire. Well now drape the tire chains over the tire making sure they are centered. more

Pewag Mud Service Snow Tire Chains Review - 2005 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on our 2005 GMC Sierra well be test fitting the Pewag All Square Mud Surface snow tire chains, part number PWE2441S. To begin this test fit well lay the chains out on the ground and make sure we get any kinks, knots or tangles out of the chains themselves. This will offer an easier installation. Well now go ahead and place our tire chains over the tire, making sure that the cross chains are centered with the tire tread. In order to identify whether the chain is going on correctly or not, well make sure that the cross-chains attach to the side chains with the hooks facing out. We can then move to the inside of the tire here at the six oclock position where well connect the two ends of the side chain together, taking up as much of the slack in the chain as possible. more
